Our Motivation

Despite overwhelming evidence that having more women in leadership positions creates significant societal and financial benefits, women continue to hold only a small fraction of these positions. Here are two big reasons:

  • Women disproportionately need to overcome financial trauma, which they experience at rates much higher than men; and

  • Historically, there have been fewer female role-models in leadership positions, which creates a self-perpetuating cycle.

At 50/50 Leadership, we work to address these obstacles by offering financial literacy programming and mentorship opportunities to women from all walks of life, contributing to a more diverse, representative and successful future.
